New works

Oil paintings from 2024-2026 focusing on the paintings' formal qualities and emotion.

The Other Side

"The Girl Who Drew Memories", a solo exhibition in the Elizabeth D Wilson Museum, 2022-2023. While paintings are autobiographical, the feelings of vulnerability, fear and love are universal.

Field of Green

Field of Green-solo exhibition at Kean University, referencing calm , space and the natural world. The paintings began in June 2021. As the works progressed, the paintings become more minimal. Although the series began exclusively green, the hues expanded. The dominant material is pigment stick applied by hand.

All About Time

A sample of oil paintings from a series about mortality, the passage of time, and aging 2011-2015.

These galleries are works completed in the last 10 years. Separated by date and conceptual thrust , much of the work explores the intersection of psychology and art.  The work considers female sexuality, mortality,  memory, and identity.
Abstract Expressionism influences the oil paintings, but in a contemporary style. Works on paper transmit place, culture, and tradition through deconstructed visual language. Gail Winbury, December 20, 2018, all rights reserved for the information and photos @.
